Policy advice for decisions that matter
Businesses don’t always need another policy report. Sometimes they need to understand why an issue is attracting government attention, whether their existing position makes sense outside the company, or what action management should take.
PolicyBridge combines research with an independent assessment of the business and institutional considerations involved. Our work is organised around three types of assignments.
1. Policy Research & Analysis
Understand the issue before deciding how to respond.
We undertake research when a business needs to understand a policy question, examine regulatory developments or develop an informed position.
Our work goes beyond compiling information. We examine the policy’s objectives, the concerns behind it, relevant precedents and the different interests involved.
Typical assignments: Policy research papers, issue briefs, consultation responses and industry position papers.
2. Business & Institutional Assessment
Understand how government and other institutions may see your business.
A company may have a sound commercial argument without fully understanding how its business model or proposed position could be viewed by government and other institutions.
We examine the issue from both perspectives, identify assumptions that need testing, and assess the implications for management.
Typical assignments: Independent assessments of policy developments, reviews of emerging business models, regulatory exposure assessments and management advisory notes.
3. Policy & Institutional Strategy
Decide what action to take and how to approach it.
When management needs to respond to a policy issue, we help evaluate the available options and develop an appropriate approach.
This may involve preparing a policy position, identifying where further evidence is needed, developing an institutional engagement strategy, or advising management to reconsider its existing approach.
Typical assignments: Policy strategy, institutional engagement plans, industry advocacy approaches and management advisory sessions.
How We Work
Every assignment begins with the business question that needs to be answered. We agree on the scope, examine the relevant evidence, and provide recommendations that management can act on.
PolicyBridge does not sell access or promise regulatory outcomes.
